The Peninsula Housing and Builders Association produces a variety of annual events, including the Home and Garden Expo, the Parade of Homes, SummerFest, and many others. LET'S GO BACK TO BUCKROE! PHBA is taking the Parade of Homes to Buckroe! The Fall 2011 Parade will take place September 17 - October 2, and will feature single-family, as well as mansion-style homes. The entire development will be sustainable, green homes. This mid-priced beach community will feature homes with an average 2,400 square feet, and all will follow the City of Hampton's architectural guidelines for the area. This Parade of Homes will also feature, "The Endless Summer", charity by Edgerton Contracting, Inc. Proceeds from the sale of this home will benefit two local charities: Downtown Hampton Child Development Center and the Boys and Girls Clubs of the Virginia Peninsula. PHBA and PRC held their Annual Golf Tournament on Friday, May 20th, at the Williamsburg National Golf Club. Golfers enjoyed a day of sunshine out on the Jamestown Course with endless cold beverages provided by SunTrust Mortgage of Newport News and ECS Mid-Atlantic, LLC. The team of: J.W. Wallace, Mike Tyndall, Steve Forrest and Andy Harris took First Place by one stroke over the team of: Jason Fox, Gregg Ellis, Tom Fox and Kevin Moore. PHBA's 2nd Annual Dockside Seafood Fest was held on Saturday, May 7th, at Graham & Rollins, in Hampton. Once again, tickets for this event sold out early, and Mother Nature provided us with beautiful weather. PHBA Members and their guests enjoyed a dinner of crab cakes, raw and fried oysters, steamed shrimp, soft-shell crabs, fried flounder, schrimp scampi and she-crab soup. Richie Beard provided live entertainment throughout the night. Thank you to our Seafood Fest Event Committee for all their hard work: Chairman, J.W.
